What’s new in Aromatherapy?

With so many aromatherapy products on the market, knowing where to start can be a little overwhelming; buying an essential oil blend is an easy and cost effective way to begin. These products put together the characteristics and benefits of particular essential oils to create an aroma suited for particular moods or occasions. We now have a range of pure, 100% essential oil blends that can be used in a burner or vaporiser, on a tissue or in the bath (check label for directions), with prices starting at just £2.99. Choose from Travel, Romance, De-Stress, Goodnight, Study, Frankincense, Sinus Blends, May Chang and Festive. For the more adventurous, buy individual essential oils and have a play mixing them yourself, starting with two and combining up to three, four or five oils to create a lovely synergistic mix, suited to any occasion (dilute essential oils with a carrier oil when applying to the skin).

We often get asked for room sprays without lots of unnecessary chemicals. On a recent trip to the supermarket, I checked out their extensive range of scented candles, room sprays and air fresheners. It’s often difficult to work out what’s actually in these products: do we really need all those ingredients just for aroma’s sake?
