Topping Out Ceremony

It was beginning to look like it might never happen but the first little step was taken today, 16^th April 2003 with the official Topping Out ceremony taking place on the roof of Eighth Day House.
Tony Lloyd MP was kind enough to grace our little celebration, a tradition to mark the fact that the roof is on and watertight, in the full blaze of the unseasonable April sunshine.
Here he is on the right, accompanied by Tim and Ursula, who were all brave enough to climb the 6 floors of ladders, spurred on by the knowledge that a glass of bubbly would be both toast and reward!
