Christopher Samuel Lench is an artist and musician based in South Manchester. This showing at 8th Day Café is Christopher's first solo exhibition and features a variety of his works including canvases, photos and collages. Influenced by the likes of Dubuffet and Kandinsky, there are elements of chance and nature in his art. In addition Christopher uses a wide range of media to create tactile textures, including oils, inks, biro, tea, coffee, ash, sand, mud, grass and paper. On closer inspection Christopher's work is made up entirely of tangible objects, people, places and situations. One of his main ideologies is that a good piece of art should reward the viewer each time that they look at it. Left: Tree Face The exhibition runs from mid September to mid October
