on one of the big supermarkets and as we packed away our purchases, we took off all the packaging and left it on the floor. What a mess it would create! What a message that would send out. What a great idea, I think we should plan to do it!!!
R: Which projects have you enjoyed working on the most, and which have been the most challenging?
M: For me, my practice is a life long journey, which has lead me down some very interesting routes. I want my practice to feed my research and vice versa. Making and designing something which does not increase my ecological footprint will always be challenging in the current climate.
R: Do you earn a living from your art?
M: No, not at present because everything I earn goes back into the business e.g. marketing, photo shoots, going to exhibitions, travel expenses, equipment etc.
R: What projects do you have lined up for the future?
M: Further research and development and more trans-disciplinary work aimed at promoting sustainability through innovation.
R: Anything else you'd like to tell us about your work?
M: My work promotes the philosophy of reduce, reuse and recycle. Maybe it defiantly challenges people's perception of
what they consider to be waste. When people commission my work they get

something that they can't get in the high street chain stores -  an honest, handmade, low ecological impact, bespoke piece of functional art.
