We received an interesting piece from Roland Humphrey a couple of
months ago. It is an excerpt from his son’s autobiography, written in the
early 1970s. Oh how far we have come?!

Who, What, Where
Eighth Day is a vegetarian café and healthfood shop. We were established in 1970 and have been a workers' co-operative since 1976. We are located on Oxford Road next door to the Manchester Metropolitan University Students' Union, about a hundred yards from the BBC and opposite All Saints' park.
