Raw food enthusiast, Tony Deleke Banjo, tells our nutritionist Janet
about the benefits of eating raw food,
“Eating fresh, clean organic vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds - in their
natural uncooked state is what I’ve been doing for about a month now. Some
would
call this vegetarianism, which is really cool. However what’s even cooler
and
cool as a cucumber is the fact that this form of eating ultimately puts the term “feeling
great” into a new perspective for me.”
Why? Some
may ask…
The key words for me are ENERGY, ENERGETIC and ENERGISED, simply
because that’s how I feel after a crunchy salad or drinking a smoothie
filled with
leafy green vegetables, fruits and many other nutrient rich gifts from mother
nature. Examples are goji berries, a berry that is a complete protein - WOW!!
Raw
cocoa/cacao is the nut that chocolate comes from and is the highest source of
antioxidants in all food and drinks, with many other nutritional values. Another
gem from nature is honey, which is usually the crowning ingredient that goes
into
my smoothie… hmmmm, yummy.
