Animal
Aid Vegan Buffet
Live
Acts - Vegan Beers and Wine - only £10 per head
October
20th 2007 7.30pm
If you really
care about animals, the best way you can help is to stop eating them!
Each year in the UK alone approximately 1,000 million animals are farmed
and killed for food - and that figure doesn't include fish. As well as
being more humane, vegetarianism is healthy, environmentally friendly
and a better way to use the world's precious resources.
In support
of Animal Aid,
8th Day Café is holding a vegan buffet to promote vegan food at
its best. Come along and try new dishes - hot and cold savouries and sweets
influenced from around the world. The price includes unlimited access
to the buffet plus live musicians throughout the night. Full range of
vegan wines and beers available.
Free goody bags containing
samples from Booja Booja, Qi Teas, Bioforce, Café Direct, Weleda,
Suma… and not forgetting the raffle!
Animal Aid is the
UK's largest animal rights group and one of the longest established in
the world, having been founded in 1977. They campaign peacefully against
all forms of animal abuse and promote a cruelty-free lifestyle. They investigate
and expose animal cruelty, and their undercover investigations are often
used by the media, bringing these issues to public attention.
Tickets available
from the café.
